Admah and Zeboiim

Pronunciation pronunciation key
admah, zeeem

Definition
Places of wickedness and sin. The citizens of Admah and Zeboiim are identified in Deuteronomy 29:23 as having abandoned themselves to lives of sin and debauchery, and in consequence their cities suffer much the same fate as the better-known Sodom and Gomorrah, both being destroyed as punishment for offending God. The two villages were shunned by people living in the surrounding hills, who considered them modern versions of Admah and Zeboiim.
